Last week, Carl Hagström, together with Acronis, participated in the inauguration of the new resource center at Friends Secondary School Kibisi in Namboko, Kenya.
The project is part of the Acronis Cyber Foundation Program and has been made possible thanks to a great collaboration between several parties: Acronis, Gridheart, our mutual partners and, above all, our partners on site: Groundbreaker Talents and Core Health and Wealth International.
What now stands completed consists of three important elements for the students’ daily life:
• Computer lab: the school’s first step into digital education
• Library: a long-awaited space for study and reading
• Assembly hall: a safe environment for lessons, exams, meetings, and meals
During the visit, Acronis also conducted a cybersecurity lesson for the students. It became a wonderful opportunity to take the first steps together toward the school’s digital future!
For us, the day was above all a reminder of what can happen when people and organizations come together with a shared purpose. It is the students, the teachers, and the local community who are at the center, and we are very grateful to be a small part of their journey forward.
We would also like to extend a warm thank you to our partners who made the project possible:
Almom, BloxIT, Complete Solutions International AB, Desknet Datateknik AB, Gibon Uddevalla, Mirva Uppsala, Intime IT, IT-verket, Thalamus IT Consulting, Torntec, and Sölvesborg Data.
