What is Autodiscover?

1. The Autodiscover feature makes it easy for users to setup their email clients. The user only needs to know their email address and password. It works with Outlook 2007 and later, Outlook 2011 for Mac, Mac Mail, Entourage 2008 and most smartphones.

2. You also need to have Autodiscover correct configured for Outlook to work properly. If not you can’t use features like Out-Of-Office assistant or viewing Free/Busy times of your colleagues.

How to setup Autodiscover?

You need to setup Autodiscover by adding a public DNS record.

Setup Autodiscover with a DNS CNAME record

Record Type: CNAME

Host Name: Autodiscover

Address: redirectautodiscover.domain02.net
