To deploy any of the available Cloudmore VM templates with your own customized hardware resources do the following: 1. Login to your Organization as Organization Administrator in the vCloud Director 2. Go to the "Catalogs" column, and on the left side go to "Public Catalogs" 3. Navigate to the available template you want to use. Right click the template and choose "Add to My Cloud"
4. Select your vApp name and location (your vDC). 5. Configure VM-name (as seen by vCloud Director, this is not the same as Computername in the guest OS) and Storage Policy. 6. Configure Networking 7. Customize Hardware, in this step you customize your hardware resources when deployed, i.e increase the disk size of the system C: drive.
8. Finish the deployment. Things to take into consideration: * Hard disks cannot be made smaller than their template size. * If you have increased the disk size during the deployment, you will have to use Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc for Windows) or any similar tool in Linux to extend the partition from the original 40GB. * If you wish to customize the hardware of the VM after deployment, right click the VM -> Properties -> Hardware tab. Here you can edit the Networking, Memory, CPU and Disk of the VM. You can for example increase the current disk or add additional ones. Press OK to save your changes.
* You can move the VM into an existing vApp using "Move to", however this requires the same amount of storage space as the current VM is allocating available in your vDC (i.e if you move a VM with 50GB disk, you will need an additional 50GB available during the move).
