With everything from insider threats to ransomware and cryptojacking on the rise, plus the impact recent data breaches have had – from financial and compliance-related penalties to reputational damage – there’s no doubt we’ve entered a new era. Traditional data protection is not enough.
But that’s not all if you’re a service provider. The truth is, to stay competitive and grow today, you need to ensure all customers stay #CyberFit, and it must be easy to deliver on that promise.
That’s why each new version of Acronis Cyber Cloud improves two things:
Partner cyber protection capabilities – enhancing some or all of the Five Vectors of Cyber Protection (or data safety, accessibility, privacy, authenticity, and security)
Partner delivery of cyber protection services to end customers – making managing cyber protection day-to-day easier, more efficient and even more secure
Acronis Cyber Cloud 8.0 is no exception. Here’s a preview of some key enhancements coming via the solution’s core service offerings:
Acronis Backup Cloud
Key MSP Benefits: Access enterprise-level customers with complex infrastructures and sophisticated workloads, plus gain enhanced service-delivery features
This major release offers substantial improvements in base cyber protection components – data safety and accessibility – with new advanced features in Acronis Backup Cloud. Specifically, with scalable group management of devices and backup plans, service providers can serve larger customers with larger infrastructures – as easily as managing smaller ones.
It’s also easier for service providers to broaden their customer reach with a single solution. Acronis Cyber Cloud now supports application-aware Oracle Database and SAP HANA backup and recovery as well as cluster-aware backup of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange Server.
Of course, these enhancements to Acronis Backup Cloud are just the beginning … there are about 25 other new features, like:
Agent-less application-aware VM backup on Hyper-V – to save time on the agent's deployment
Automatic backup archives notarization – to get independent validation that specific files are unchanged
A Startup Recovery Manager – to restore machines in minutes even if the operating system does not load, without having separate rescue media or a network connection
Acronis Disaster Recovery Cloud
Key MSP Benefits: Boost security and compliance, plus on-board customers more easily
Looking now to improvements forthcoming in Acronis Disaster Recovery Cloud, let’s begin with helping customer’s comply with data security requirements. Now service providers will be able to use encrypted backups to perform failover. Meanwhile, securely stored passwords can be used to automate disaster recovery operations.
When it comes to sales and onboarding, there are a few new benefits to highlight:
A new “cloud-only”, VPN-less deployment option ensures an even easier, quicker proof of concept stage. Also, Acronis Disaster Recovery Cloud supports more complex customer infrastructures, enabling DR for multiple client networks. Finally yet importantly, when it comes to improving SLA-compliance requirements, service providers can define recovery point objective (RPO) thresholds and track compliance in real time.
Acronis Notary Cloud
Key MSP Benefit: Superior data authenticity
Given the ever-evolving nature of today’s cyberthreats, Acronis is also constantly enhancing data authenticity features. Key improvements in the Acronis Notary Cloud service will allow service providers to easily enable data verification via a new public webpage – eliminating the need to use the Acronis Notary Cloud user-interface to verify files.
Altogether, more than 40 major new features will be in place once the rollout of Acronis Cyber Cloud 8.0 is complete this November. That means service providers will not only gain enhanced cyber protection capabilities, but more efficient ways to deliver them and new opportunities to grow.
